Cricket Career Of Padikkal

Devdutt played his first first-class match for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy on November 28, 2018. He made his List A debut on September 26, 2019, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he became the tournament’s top run-scorer with 609 runs in 11 matches.

In October 2019, he was selected for India A’s team in the Deodhar Trophy. On November 8, 2019, he played his first Twenty20 match for Karnataka in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

International Career 

In June 2021, Devdutt Padikkal was selected for India’s ODI and T20I squads for the series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut for India on July 28, 2021, in a match against Sri Lanka.

In February 2024, Devdutt Padikkal was added to India’s Test squad for the series against England, replacing KL Rahul. He made his Test debut in the 5th match of the series on March 7, 2024.

In his debut innings, he scored 65 runs from 103 balls, hitting 10 fours and 1 six.

In December 2018, Devdutt Padikkal was picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL auction for the 2019 season. He made history by becoming the first player to score three fifties in his first four IPL matches.

In the 2020 IPL, he won the Emerging Player Award while playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In February 2022, Devdutt Padikkal was bought by Rajasthan Royals for the 2022 IPL season.
