Dube made his Twenty20 debut for Mumbai in the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 18, 2016. He then made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 25, 2017.
He made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy on December 7, 2017. On December 17, 2018, during a Ranji Trophy match against Baroda, he hit five sixes in a single over.
In the same year, he was the top wicket-taker for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, with 23 wickets in eight matches. In December 2018, Shivam was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL).
