Antonee Robinson Named U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year
Antonee Robinson has won the 2024 U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year award, becoming the first defender to receive this honor since Oguchi Onyewu in 2006.
Robinson had an outstanding year in 2024, excelling for both his club and country. He was also named Fulham’s Player of the Year for the 2023–24 season. For the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT), Robinson played in all 11 matches he was available for and delivered a key assist in the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals against Jamaica.
At the club level, he was the only Premier League defender to record 10 or more assists in 2024 and has been a consistent starter for Fulham. His impressive performances have drawn interest from top clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City.
Robinson earned 55% of the votes, beating players like Christian Pulisic and Ricardo Pepi. He is the third Fulham-linked player to win this award, joining Clint Dempsey and Kasey Keller.
Robinson expressed his gratitude, saying, “Representing our country isn’t about individual awards, but being recognized is an amazing feeling.” His next appearance for the USMNT will be in March during the Nations League semifinals.
