After quitting her job, Coi Leray released her first song, “G.A.N.,” in 2018 on SoundCloud as a response to A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s song “DTB.” Her second mixtape, EC2, came out on January 18, 2019, through 1801 Records and Republic Records.
