The judge also mentioned that another prisoner was in the cell with a camera, likely a phone that wasn’t allowed. This prisoner also seemed to be smoking cannabis.
Instead of confronting him about having the phone or drugs, Abreu allowed him to record what was happening. The cha*rges said that De Sousa Abreu knowingly and wrongly broke the trust placed in her position by engaging in inapp*ropriate beh*avior with a prisoner in a cell.
She was arre*sted at Heathrow Airport while trying to board a flight to Madrid after informing the prison about her travel plans. She later pleaded gu*ilty to misconduct in public office at Isleworth Crown Court in July of the previous year.
Her sister didn’t watch the show Open House where De Sousa Abreu appeared, and only found out in January that she worked at the prison. She told her sister not to mix personal life with work and to make better choices.
A close friend named Hayley said that Abreu was being black*mailed. Some inmates found out personal details about her, like her address, husband’s name, and Onl&yFans account, and pressured her into the situation.
