Career

Nikhil started his career working at a call center while trading stocks in his spare time. In 2006, he became a sub-broker and, along with his brother Nithin, founded Kamath & Associates to manage investments for wealthy clients.

In 2010, the brothers launched Zerodha, a discount brokerage firm offering stock, currency, and commodity trading. Zerodha made investing more affordable by reducing transaction costs.
