Career Journey Of Yograj Singh
In 1977, Yograj was selected over Kapil Dev for the India U-22 team that played against England in Nagpur. In 1979, he was chosen to represent the Board President’s XI team to face the touring Pakistan cricket team in Baroda.
During that match, he took 3 wickets for just 29 runs, dismissing well-known players like Javed Miandad and Wasim Raja. In 1980, Yograj was selected to be part of the Indian cricket team for a tour of Australia and New Zealand.
On December 21, 1980, he made his debut in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against the New Zealand cricket team in Brisbane, where he took 2 wickets for 44 runs in 8.4 overs.
