IPS Career
Sweety Sehrawat began her career as a design engineer in the corporate sector. Despite having a stable job, she followed her father’s dream of becoming an IPS officer. She left her job to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Sweety’s preparation involved a disciplined approach, structured planning, and mock tests. She also relied on support from family, friends, and mentors during tough times. In 2019, she cleared the exam with an All India Rank (AIR) of 187 and joined the Bihar cadre.
Her first posting was as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Aurangabad, Bihar. She handled critical situations effectively and became known for her leadership and community-focused policing. Later, she was promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP) in Patna Central, where she managed law and order and led her team during major events.
One of her notable assignments was handling protests over the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam. She managed the protests firmly, using water cannons and lathi charges to control the situation.
